8. Interest on Advances for Railway Construction has been re-
transferred according to Instructions from Charge on account of
Public Debt to Railway Construction Account.

9. A statement is attached showing the arrears outstanding on
31st December 1909. These have all since been collected with thej
exception of $1.497.94 outstanding under Crown Rent. The matter
is in the hands of the Crown Solicitor.

C. STORES.
11. One quarter's receipts and issues were examined in respect of the following Departments, with satisfactory results$- Public Works, Medical, Police, Prison, Sanitary, C.S.0., Stationery, tanical and Forestry, Hong Kong Volunteer Corps.
12. A test examination of articles in store was made of each

15. The main Stock of Stamps (Postage and Revenue), postcards, newspaper wrappers, watermarked paper, Local and Imperial postal notes was examined and counted and found to agree with the vari-
ous stock book balances.

General Post Office, Western Branch
Board of Trade, Magistracy, Money Order Office. Stamp Office and Harbour Master's outstations.
B. REVENUE REFUNDED.

The total Revenue refunded during the year amounted to $28.352.75 which principally consists of Refund of Rates. same procedure has been followed as in previous years, viz:- the refunds are not deducted from the gross revenue collected under rates and taxes, but are met by an annual Estimate of Expenditure. under "Miscellaneous Services".
